Insecticidal defense, together with the control of other pathogens, is a fundamental aspect for having quality production for winemaking. In recent years, its complexity has increased both due to the change in environmental conditions and the constant reduction of active ingredients. An integrated and sustainable approach for agricultural companies is therefore increasingly necessary and, in this sense, Xeda offers two innovative products with the aim of integrating these innovations into integrated and biological defense programs to deal with the multiple critical issues and improve the performance general of the company strategy.
Hulk+: is an innovative formulation based on silicone polymer that acts against insects by physical-mechanical action. Hulk+ creates a film on the plant surface that covers and envelops insects, obstructing their tracheae with the result of suffocating them.
This non-specific mechanism of action avoids the onset of resistance phenomena in target insects and is capable of having a multi-target function on different species of phytophagous parasites. Furthermore, some preliminary essays have highlighted that through the formation of this film on the leaf surface a physical barrier is created to the escape and diffusion of the spores and mycelium of some epiphytic fungi such as powdery mildew.
It is applied at a dosage of 100 ml/hl and has no compatibility problems with other plant protection and fertilizer products. It does not cause phytotoxicity and does not alter the transpiration of plant tissues.
The peculiar characteristics of Hulk+ make it a very versatile product that easily integrates into an insecticidal defense strategy only or if used in a mixture with other products to increase its effectiveness and spectrum of action.
Xedaros: is an organo-mineral fertilizer enriched with plant extracts, in particular essential oils, which thanks to a patented conveyor adheres electrostatically to the leaf surface. In addition to having a strong nutritional and greening effect on vegetation, the fraction of plant extracts has a stimulating action on the leaf wall and in many cases acts as a repellent in direct or indirect form making the treated plants less palatable.
Xedaros is extremely selective towards beneficial insects and can be used during the flowering phase. It does not add residues on the crop and does not modify in any way the organoleptic characteristics of the treated crops but, on the contrary, stimulates their development.
It is applied at a dosage of 600 ml/hl and can be mixed with insecticides and acaricides.
